Welcoming hosts genuinely engage with guests.
The room lacked sound insulation, making it hard to sleep at night. I expected a more relaxing environment, but the noise from the nearby street was quite disruptive. the bathroom was cramped, so many times I bumped my head while trying to use the sink.

The complimentary seasonal treats made us feel especially welcomed during our stay.
Occasionally, the breakfast service felt a bit rushed, limiting our time to enjoy our meals.

The large double room was spacious, providing ample storage and a comfy bed—a real treat after a long day. With a good selection of tea, coffee, and daily replenished biscuits, the little touches made the experience feel more welcoming.
Despite the comfort of the room, some areas left much to be desired. The absence of outdoor seating was noticeable, making it feel less like a getaway spot. the limited on-site parking can be a hassle during peak times, especially with the busy summer crowds. To top it off, I noticed some noise issues from the street, which disrupted sleep, particularly in lower-level rooms. If you're expecting total serenity, prepare to deal with some disturbances.

i almost thought of giving a good review until i noticed no outdoor sitting, which was such a miss. also, the lack of complimentary gestures was unacceptable for me. the room had plenty of tea and coffee, but who wouldn't expect a more personalized touch? a little recognition would go a long way, you know.

Fantastic stay with a lovely couple!
Just had a lovely 2-night stay! The place is super clean and cozy. Teresa and Mark are such down-to-earth hosts, always making sure we were comfy. Breakfast was top-notch, with fab fresh fruit and my jam fix! Only thing is, I wish there was more outdoor seating to relax. But honestly, can't wait to come back!

Couple's getaway gem
The breakfast was outstanding! ! We had so many choices, and it was like a feast every morning. the hosts knew all the best spots to check out, making our stay feel special! We really appreciated the little touches like fresh milk for our tea!
It wasn't exactly cheap, but worth every penny.

had a wonderful stay at cranmore! teresa and mark were super friendly and really went the extra mile to help us. the breakfast was fresh and tasty, with loads of options to choose from. our room was comfy and clean, with a nice little drinks tray that was refilled daily. perfect location for everything in torquay!
only thing i missed was a bit more outdoor seating to chill. also, a few more personal touches in the room would’ve been nice.

decent stay but room lacked some charm
The breakfast impressed me with fresh local ingredients. Teresa and Mark offered great tips on nearby attractions during our stay. The location was convenient, within walking distance to cafes and the beach, which made exploring easy. I appreciate the warm homely environment that reminds one of being at a friend's place.
I found the room a bit lacking in personal touches that would enhance the experience.
